In February 2015, all flights above FL285 in EU airspace are required to have CPDLC/Link 2000+.

However, I have been told by an avionics provider that some aircraft types are exempt from the requirement. Where can I find the complete list of exemptions?

The European Commission has published the Commission Implementing Decision of 9.12.2011 on exemptions under Article 14 of Commission Regulation (EC) N° 29/2009 (the CPDLC rule)

It contains the following table of aircraft that are permanently exempted from the CPDLC implementing rule.

  • $\begingroup$ @roe I didn't find the markdown way to do it (there seems to be none) but I found a website that does text to ASCII table conversion. sensefulsolutions.com/2010/10/format-text-as-table.html . Still needed to adjust a lot manually though... $\endgroup$
