May 7, 2021 at 13:18 comment added quiet flyer @Bianfable -- because the thing is, every change you make, including a change in angle-of-attack, is going to change the L/D. So there's no way to eliminate that. Unless you say that all you are doing is reducing power (thrust), and nothing else. But that's not the question I want to ask.
May 7, 2021 at 13:01 comment added quiet flyer @Bianfable -- my opinion is otherwise, I think all the needed constraints are given--

May 7, 2021 at 13:00 comment added Bianfable I think this question can be answered as long as no spoilers/flaps are extended (i.e. L/D is the same). But once you change the configuration (spoilers/flaps), you need to specify how that changes the L/D.

May 7, 2021 at 12:56 comment added quiet flyer Well, I could truncate it after the second or third paragraph--
May 7, 2021 at 12:55 comment added FreeMan Maybe I don't know enough, but this seems to be very broad. There are a lot of question marks in there. Maybe try narrowing the focus some? Or at least the question mark count...

May 7, 2021 at 12:20 comment added quiet flyer This question has a similar title aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/56718/… but it is really about a misconception on a table, plus a few other questions thrown in; the body of the question is not a duplicate.
