Why does this Robinson R22, also like otherdo helicopters, needs have two pedals as(as shown in the picture,); why is one not just enough? As we know, the pedals is toprovide directional control through the tail rotor, to yaw left or right. As we also know too, the tail rotor is required to overcomesovercome the torque by the engine to turnof the main rotor that, which will makeotherwise cause the helicopter spinning if it is not controlledto spin. So, in my opinion, one pedalspedal is enough: increase the tail rotor's angle of attack (AoA) when it is intendedpitch to yaw opposite ofagainst the main rotor'srotor torque direction, and just decrease it if it is intended to yaw following the torque'storque direction. My question is then, why does helicopterdo helicopters need two pedals? Why doesIs one not enough one? How is actuallyAnd how exactly does the pilot control the helicopter in yaw controlled is done?
