May 4, 2022 at 21:34 | comment | added | quiet flyer | Plan for future editing-- remove the "what is the best interpretation" part of the question. Make it clear only asking about FAA issuances after the September 16 1993 airspace re-designation. Link to a separate question aviation.stackexchange.com/q/91120/34686 to address the FAAs original intent during the rule-making process leading up to the September 16 1993 "alphabet" airspace re-designation --

Nov 25, 2021 at 18:55 | comment | added | quiet flyer | Thanks for the suggestion Michael. It's amazing how you always are so tuned in to my comments. You must have some settings selected that I was not aware were possible options. Anyway, I have been advised by ASE moderators (or whatever you call them) at some point within the last year or two or three that I should rein in my editing. There is more work in progress on this particular post, and that is why I will not add the changes to the list above at the present time, but instead will save them till the other changes are ready to go, to reduce the total number of edits.

Feb 23, 2020 at 23:22 | comment | added | quiet flyer | @MichaelHall -- How is it useful to say essentially "I would never care about SVFR because I would always go IFR in such cases."?
Feb 20, 2020 at 20:54 | comment | added | Michael Hall | Not to me it isn't. If I need to I will go IFR.
Feb 20, 2020 at 20:53 | comment | added | quiet flyer | SVFR might be relevant
Feb 20, 2020 at 20:50 | comment | added | Michael Hall | Make it relevant then. I have been flying for 37 years and never once have I wondered whether I was in E2 or E4 airspace, or considered what I might need to do differently as a result.

Feb 20, 2020 at 17:53 | comment | added | Michael Hall | just an observation and friendly opinion - you obviously have a great deal of knowledge and interest in the subtleties of the various sub-categories of class E airspace, (which I didn't even know existed before you pointed them out in your earlier questions!) but this is in danger of being labeled TLDR. (too long, didn't read) I get that this is probably more important for ultralight pilots and I hope you get the answers you are seeking, but I am struggling to find the relevancy. There is a lot of information in your question to sift through, and frankly I gave up trying...
