The spirit of the question would be if a pilot is a private pilot holder rather than a commercial, would generating revenue as a byproduct of their flights make it a commercial operation. I think I failed to make it abundantly clear that this would be a private pilot or lower grade holder in my hypothetical scenario. Pipeline patrol operations do none of those four things (other than be for compensation or hire I suppose), but they are commercial. | |
