And the country matters a lot here but no one should make their medical decisions on random advice from the internet. Having said all that, a reasonable thing to do is to find an Aviation Medical Examiner (or local equivalent) and ask them for a consultation; if your friend is in the US, he could also join AOPA and ask them. There are also many threads on AOPA's forums (members only) about sleep apnea, required medical reporting etc. | |
