just read your post. I am a retired aircraft painter. Electrostatic painting . Ensure aircraft is grounded. Ensure you are grounded to the gun. Use compatible electrostatic paint. This is a must. Graco paint pumps and guns are the best.

My thoughts are unless you have great concern about of overspray use a normal system on small aircraft. Suction fed or gravity fed will do the same job. Application is the same for all systems.
