I have heard it said on this site several times that in flight, "helicopters fly just like fixed wings". They don't. Many people think that because you can generate a certain force in a fixed wing, that you must therefore be able to generate the same force in a fixed wing. This is a fallacy and does nothing to help discussions such as this one. | |
