comment How are off-wing jet engines transported?
To add to this answer, jet engines are not all that heavy relative to other bulk items but large and cumbersome. It is a pretty common even to see engines in harnesses, covered in tarps being transported by flatbeds.

comment What defines a cycle on a jet engine?
I don't have anything official, unfortunately, as its from my experiences. However, I believe parts 33 and 43 might yield some answers. I'll dig into it when I get home.

comment Is passenger weight distribution important on a commercial flight?
Jay Carr, its always done before pushback. At some airlines, the pilots do it with the mechanical calculator "whizwheel" and paper, and some pilots get it from dispatch. Either way, its computed and verified prior to pushback.

comment What is the standard rate of turn for heavy aircraft?
I think you guys are confusing turn and slip indicator with inclinometer. Two different things. Turn and slip resembles the turn coordinator (important differences) but both include inclinometer functionality. Every aircraft that I've flown that has EFIS also has the inclinometer at the top of the PFD.
