During the last 10+ years I worked as a Software Engineer, main areas of interest are Computer Vision, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Image Processing, but I love aviation and now I am changing my main career path.
When I started flying in the beginning of my 30s, I had a full understanding that there is no any guarantee in this area, I will have less money and stability, and everything should be done on my own risk. Nevertheless, I decided to start my new career from scratch, and I keep going.
Main question that I hear almost all the time: why? Just because I love the sky, I enjoy driving any vehicle, I am always trying to improve my skills and always thriving for a new knowledge, and I work hard for this. Finally, I suppose that everybody should enjoy his job as much as possible.
Aviation is my all-life dream, but I seriously started to follow this way only in my 30s. It requires some courage to start, enough experience to understand that nothing happens without hard work, and everything actually depends on ourselves.
I am a highly skilled software engineer, I am a rather good manager, and in general I can say that I am successful. I enjoyed my current work, but I love aviation and cannot do anything about it but follow this route. It could be fun to start everything from scratch. I am open to new horizons!
