If I put an NVIS (Night vision imaging system) filter on an electronic display which is installed in cockpit then will that filter 'Attenuate' or will it 'Pass' the 610-930 nm near-IR wavelength of the display device?

How will this filter helps the pilot to view in daylight as well as in low light at night?

  • $\begingroup$ I would hope that an NVIS would only attenuate wavelengths less than about 660 nm, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to see anything that is colored red. $\endgroup$ – rclocher3 Oct 1 '20 at 15:34
